Welcome to the website honoring San Francisco Bay Area artist
Victor Roland Anderson, my grandfather. To call him an artist seems understated. He was a painter, poet, writer, craftsman, furniture maker, artisan and he had the most active imagination of anyone I have ever known. His creativity was limitless, and his inspiration amazing.

Victor Anderson was a loving father and husband. He passed away
when I was only six, and I am saddened that he did not see
that I have followed in his artistic footsteps as an adult. However,
his works give me a privileged view not only into my family's
past, but also into the mind and soul of this great man. I am
honored to be able to pay tribute to him by presenting
his work this way.

I dedicate this site not only to his loving memory and that of
Muriel Anderson; my late grandmother, but also to my mother
Julie Scott Meisami, my aunt Robin Anderson, and my two
sisters Moira Anderson Allen and especially Ayda Meisami;
may this be a way for her to know him, as it has been
for me.

Full credit to the organization of his work goes to my
sister Moira Anderson Allen. I have used her text
for the biography. Thanks also to my sister Ayda
and aunt Robin, for helping me acquire photos of
the pieces I am not in possession of.

I hope you enjoy the site as much as I have enjoyed
making it. Your comments are fully appreciated!
